  1. Get your benefits
Get your teeth cleaned get all your shots get your yearly physical get that Pap smear get your medication‘s for the next couple of months. Anything you need medically make sure it’s taken care of before your benefits run out.

There is insurance known as cobra but that is very expensive you should look into applying for Medicaid as soon as possible to ensure that you will have Insurance in the event of an emergency typically your benefits should be ongoing for at least a short period of time i.e. a grace period before running out even after leaving your program they should allow enough leeway time/leadtime for a Medicaid application to be processed.

Look into filing for unemployment as well to ensure that you’re able to take care of your rent feeding living transportation etc. You can also consider food stamps ( I considered getting these and then selling them for extra funds). I looked so far as to going to food pantries at one point for food because I could not afford groceries. You got to do what you Gotta do.
  1. Consider door Dash/Uber for quick cash
Allowed me to exercise for free by biking and making money while doing it
  2. Build new skills and continue learning
I enrolled in a data analytics course to getting a new skill set and the time that I was Not in the hospital it also provides some explanation on your résumé as well as when you go to speak with employers as to what you were doing with your time even if you are not In school full-time
  3. Consider getting on a dating site
I know it sounds like it’s probably the worst time ever to consider getting on OK Cupid but I am at the love of my life by happenstance after losing my job as a resident. Be sure to present nice pictures and interesting details to give yourself the best chance of landing a True match
  4. Consider a morning routine
You may find that you all of a sudden have a great deal of time and now that you’re not in the hospital at 4 o’clock in the morning you’re not sure of how to handle it effectively or efficiently. I found myself in the space as well and probably squandered more time then I would’ve liked because of a lack of structure in my day.

I would wake up at 11 o’clock and then meander through the rest of the day on YouTube then go back to sleep and not have gotten anything done productively. As much as this time sucks it is an opportunity to build something new and once I started looking at it like that I had more motivation to wake up early each morning even though I didn’t necessarily have a structured job a morning routine helps me start the day on a positive note and eager to maximize my opportunities. It doesn’t have to be anything crazyAlthough miracle morning by how Elrod gives a great template as to some stellar components to a morning routine to consider but mine was as simple as:

would wake up have a moment of gratitude , Make my bed, boil some hot water, brush my teeth, go back into the kitchen and prepare warm lemon water plus apple cider vinegar plus cayenne pepper plus turmeric plus black pepper plus cinnamon mixture to be drunk on an empty stomach, Then go for 3 mile walk or a short bike ride. It need to be rocket science but it did leave me feeling that I’ve done at least a couple good things for myself in that given day first thing in the morning which gives confidence in oneself that spills over into everything one does for the rest of the day.
